'Shady Tree' is a charming embroidery project featuring a leafy tree stamped onto natural linen.

Jane suggests playing with stitches in a free form way using 2 strands of kogin embroidery thread. Kogin threads are a stranded embroidery thread that's not shiny unlike usual embroidery threads and is also slightly fluffy with subtle colour changes, giving a natural and understated look to the final work.
This would be lovely framed and offered as a gift for a friend.
Jane backed the piece with a fine iron-on interfacing called G 710 from Vliesoline as it is soft and easy to stitch through.
Threads used are KTH-11, KTH-21, KTH-51, KTH-71, or you could choose your own colours from our range of Kogin Threads.
