The Kogin tree is a stunning pattern designed by Iehasa Yamahata and has been very popular. The tree is made up of many traditional kogin patterns which are seen so clearly when stitched.
Requirements:
- 60 cm x 90cm wide of 18 count embroidery cloth. 'Olympus Thread' brand
- 6 x skeins of kogin thread is recommended 'Olympus Thread' brand

The image of the finished tree in red was stitched by Bev Potter a member of our Japanese craft group.Bev used "Olympus Thread" red embroidery fabric - 1100-33 (18 count) & white kogin thread KT-800. The finished tree was approx. 55cm x 62cm.
There are no English instructions for this pattern, however we have been using Google translate successfully for some time!

Although the instructions are in Japanese, the charts are clear and easy to follow. It’s a beautiful pattern!

Kogin Tree pattern
Thank you bebebold for stocking this pattern, I found it online and was making it from the pictures I had seen. It is much easier with the pattern! I used cross stitch cloth and thread and it looks great, but looking forward to using the kogin cloth and threads.
