BeBe Bold Weekend Workshop, June 2026

Join Jane for a long weekend of sashiko!

Whether you have attended a workshop here or this is your first experience, this is a wonderful opportunity to visit the beautiful Northern Rivers, and connect over several craft/stitching projects in an informal, collaborative environment. Led by Jane MacDonald, owner of BeBe Bold, who is an internationally respected teacher of sashiko stitching and design. Drawn to the quality and detail in the workmanship of Japanese textiles, Jane began to explore her interest over 20 years ago and is keen to share her passion and knowledge with like minded textile enthusiasts. 

When and where

Date: Saturday 27 June - Monday 29 June 2026 

Time: 9:30am to 4.30pm with workshop commencing at 10am.

Venue: Lismore Workers Sports Club, 202 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah NSW 2480 [map]

What will we be doing?

• Day 1: Hitomezashi patterns including on the diagonal plus transfer of patterns using chaco paper and isometric paper.
• Day 2: yuza sashiko patterns, and momo sashiko placemat kit (TBC).
• Day 3: bring along what you are working on and need help with.

Inclusions

• Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are included in the workshop price
• We will request information about special dietary requirements closer to the workshop

How many places will be available

• Seats are limited to 20 participants and offered on a first in best dressed basis.

Cost

• The 3 day workshop experience will be approx $385, with a $100 deposit required to hold  your place. 

• Payment for any kits and fabric packs will be required around six weeks prior to the workshop. Details about these will be emailed directly to participants closer to the dates. 

• You are responsible for your own breakfast and dinner. There is usually a group dinner on the Saturday evening. More information about this will be available closer to the workshop. If you are travelling with your spouse or a friend, they are welcome to join us for this meal. 

Cancellations 

If you can no longer attend the workshop, for whatever reason,  we cannot refund or give a credit due to the time + preparation required for our workshop to run. All purchases are final, however, we encourage you to send a friend along to take your spot, or perhaps gift someone your ticket. In some cases we may be able to give you the materials to complete at home and although not the same, it is a possible alternative. 


All bookings need to be made online. If you have a gift voucher, you can use it for this purchase. 

Your seat is secured once we receive full payment so make sure to type in your email address carefully and look out for your confirmation email.
 If you didn't receive a confirmation email shortly after your payment, check your junk mail.
