The sashiko thimble is a staple piece of equipment for stitching and protects the finger while stacking stitches onto the needle. Worn at the base of the middle finger it helps guide the needle and thread through the fabric.

Very difficult to tie on to finger. The elastic is far too short

This thimble is probably hard to get used to compared with traditional thimbles but does protect the base of your finger especially when you have quite a few stitches on the needle.
